Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to get students acquainted with important texts of Anglo-Saxon political philosophy. Selection of texts is partly influenced by the preferences of students giving a presentation. The seminar will complementarily extend lecture topics in other political and philosophical seminars.
Students will be able to understand more sophisticated texts in the field of political philosophy, also written in English. They will be able to discuss it, including broader political and philosophical context, present a paper and adopt their own attitude. Basic knowledge of political philosophy. Ability to understand the primary and secondary texts. Knowledge of English at a level equivalent to appropriate academic texts in the field of political philosophy.
Prerequisites
None. Students must also be at appropriate level of language skills to be able to read and interpret philosophical texts written in English.

Assessment methods and criteria

To obtain an exam: student must be participated in the course and defence of essay or paper. Lack of participation means that student will be examined on chapters of the discussed issue.
