Learning outcomes
There are two basic types of EU economic policy. Firstly, a common policy, when there was an absolute transfer of competence of Member states to the EU. Secondly, the community policy, when there was a partial transfer of competence of Member states to the EU. In this course, students will get acquainted with the basic principles e.g. common commercial, agricultural and transport policy. The course will be also focused on community policies, such as, consumer protection, regional policy, social policy, environmental and energy policy. The course will be focused on the question of internal market as well.
- is able to characterize the specifics of EU economic policies - can use academic terminology - is able to explain basic economic concepts of selected economic policies in the European Union - can distinguish the main movements of the economic policies of the EU - is able to characterize economic problems in certain types of economic policies in the European Union
