The course is based primarily on the analysis of the concept of "citizenship" as well as on an interactive approach to the problems of a democratic society, basic values and principles. It will enable students to work with diversity of opinion and to form and formulate their own attitudes through model situations. At the pedagogical level, it represents an opportunity for students to develop their pedagogical skills of future teachers in working with these topics in citizenship education and the basics of the social sciences. At the language level, students will acquire and expand their English vocabulary in the fields of political science, political philosophy and citizenship education.
After completing the course students will be able to: - identify the concepts of citizen, citizenship from a personal, professional and pedagogical point of view - identify democratic principles and values - know the forms of civic participation - design and implement a project on the topic of civil law - know ways to resolve conflicts and problems - speak in English on topics covered in the fields of political science, political philosophy and citizenship education |
