The course is designed as an introduction to the study of Czech politics after 1989. The first part of the course focuses on the brief introduction of the institutional structure of the Czech political system, second part analyses the most recent issues of Czech politics.

The course aims to acquaint students with the constitutional and institutional framework of the Czech political system and its formal and informal mechanisms and procedures of the governance process and to contextualise current issues of Czech politics.
