Learning outcomes
The course is intended to strenghten orientation in some topics of contemporary aesthetics. Students will go through the basic aesthetic issues and will get a lot of information from the history and the present state of the discipline. The purpose of the course is not only to introduce basic aesthetic theories and solutions of aesthetical issues, but also to show the ambiguity of such solutions.
Knowledge of basic aesthetic theories and current themes. Ability to orientate in basic concepts and authors of aesthetics and art theory. Ability to analyze and interpret artwork. An overview of current artistic events and practices. Ability to communicate in the terms of contemporary art criticism.
