Learning outcomes |
The seminar is a free continuation of a Philosophical and Ideological Roots of a Racism. Main attention is paid to a critical response of Czech thinking to the racial theories and racism (by Czechoslovak intellectuals, philosophers, writers, anthropologists and physicians). We offer a seminar reading of sources and literature with the purpose of a revealing the main arguments for the rejection of racism in Czech thought.
Student get further knowledge about specific points of criticism (and its ideological transformations) of the Czech thought towards racism. Acquired skills si the orientation throught key texts by Czech authors. In these texts we demonstrate the arguments for the rejection of the principles of racism (as well from democratic, fascist and communist positions). |
