- Bacis terms (policy, concept of communication in politology, political communication and its types) - Actors in the process of political communication: elector on the political market and her behavior (theory of elector´s decision-making), strategies of political parties, politician - Public relations in policy - Theory of political campaign - Political campaign and developement of political parties - Political marketing and political campaign - Media as a "guardian of democracy", theory of mass-media and its effect on policy - Agenda-setting: theoretical approaches - Agenda-setting: media agenda, public agenda, political agenda - Lobbing as a strategy of advocacy of group interests

Learning outcomes
This interdisciplinary course will introduce the theory and praxis of political communication. We will use theoretical approaches developed in politology, sociology, psychoogy and communicative sciences. The aim of the course is to analyse the role of main players of this form of communication - politics, political parties, electors, interest societies and media - in political process.
Student will acquire knowledge of the basics of political communication theory. He will become familiar with the roles of main political communication player.
