The aim of the course is to broaden the aesthetic field of ZHV by the sub-disciplines of religious studies. The modern subdiscipline "Theological Aesthetics " includes theoretical questions about the relationship aesthetics and religion, its reflection in the history of thought and a current debate on the role of the discipline and its methods. In aesthetics, the question of the relationship between religion and art is combined without substituting the research of art and history The current question is the role of religion, experience, perception, body and senses in the is religion. For theological aesthetics, classic themes of symbols, myth and ritual are adapted. Examples accompanying theoretical considerations are extracted from the history of visual and musical arts. Finally, the aesthetic issue of religion is put into the context of modern culture.
