Learning outcomes
Introduction to Sartori's theory of democracy combining the reading of selected passages, their interpretation and discussion. The seminar will be focused on the classic issues of democracy described in the second part of the book. Individual study will be focused on the first part, the current discourse on democracy.
Learning outcomes: - knowledge of the basic theory of democracy - orientation in the current discourse on democracy - ability to work out and analyze the current problems of democracy using relevant sources

Participation 60%, presentation. An essay on the topic of current political discourse on democracy in the extent of at least 7 pages, using two other secondary sources.
