Learning outcomes |
The course will extend the knowledge gained in the course of Electoral Systems I and will get students familiarized with individual topics, which are engaged in electoral studies, namely - analysis of electoral behavior and voters' decisions, quantitative research of electoral system outputs, electoral geography, the theory of second-order elections and electoral engineering.
Students can use academic terminology. They can characterize the different approaches explaining voters' decisions in elections. Students can use basic techniques of quantitative research of the effects of electoral systems. They can distinguish basic approaches in electoral geography. They can use the theory of second-order elections. They can describe examples of selected electoral reforms, their causes and effects on the party system. |
