Learning outcomes
In the second term of the course, students will get acquainted with main authors of the theory of democracy, it will be focused on the theory of consociational democracy and its particular examples of the past and present.
Students will get acquainted with the main theories of democracy and their practical realization. This will allow them to get oriented in today's political situation in the world in terms of struggle for democracy. Each student will choose particular examples and try to analyze them from the point of their future development.

Assessment methods and criteria

Students will prepare 6 - 8 pages of seminar paper. The topic will be approved by the lecturer in advance. Students will prove the ability to find their own topic and analyze it in terms of further development of democracy. At the exam, a lecturer will evaluate the seminar paper after a conversation with the student.
