Course content
Metaphysics as onto-theo-logy. Grund - reason / basis. Reason (Begründung). Aristotle: relational theory of space. Descartes. Kant: transcendentality. Hegel: historicity of absolute spirit. Heidegger.

Learning outcomes
Students will get oriented in the basic philosophical systems. Confrontation - Aristotle, Descartes and Kant's conception of philosophy. In this context, as well as clarifying the interpretation of basic concepts: basis, Arche, substance, subject, object, transcendentality, being, truth, world, concept, language, symbol, structure, body, etc.
Learning outcomes: student will acquire the following academic knowledge: - can define the basic philosophical concepts - can distinguish Aristotle, Descartes and Kant's conception of philosophy - can explain the meaning of philosophy and philosophical attitudes - can characterize (any) philosophical attitude expressing its basic concepts

Seminar paper at the extent of 5 pages, which deals with one of the basic discussed concepts and its development in philosophical tradition (e.g. The concept of entity, transcendentality, substance, concept, etc.).
