Course content
|
What is Phenomenology? Husserl - the problem of psychologism, logic, Brentano. Husserl - phenomenological reduction, transcendental consciousness, noesis and noema, constitution of objectivity. Late Husserl - intersubjectivity, physicality, historicity, natural world. Heidegger - hermeneutics of facticity, existential analysis of being. Late Heidegger - another beginning of thinking, "Ereignis"="Event". Merleau-Ponty - phenomenology and Gestalt=figure psychology, phenomenology of perception, physicality (chair), chiasma. Patočka - natural world, the three movements of human existence, other authors - Fink, Henry, Richir, Barbaras. Phenomenology and Cognitive Science.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is the interpretation of phenomenology. Students will get acquainted with basic movements and characters. Emphasis on the phenomenology of art, imagination, problem, etc.
Learning outcomes: students will acquire the following academic knowledge: - can define basic concepts of phenomenology - can specify differences of Husserl´s and Heidegger´s approaches to phenomenology - can use the method of phenomenological reduction - can explain the phenomenological approach to intersubjektivity and physicality -can independently read phenomenological texts

Attendance, active participation in the seminar. Seminar work at the extent of 7 pages of the following topics (specific topic including literature will be specified in consultations): method of phenomenology, consciousness and phenomenology, intersubjectivity, physicality, contemporary German, French, Czech and Anglo-Saxon phenomenology.
