Course content
Lecture Topics: 1st consultation Psychological issues of disease. Relationships psychosomatic and somatopsychic, autoplastic image of the disease. Experiencing the disease in time, the ratio of the sick to the disease. Categories of patients from a psychological point of view. 2nd consultation Psychological problems of hospitalization, iatropatogenie, sororigenie and egrotogenie. Professional deformation, danger of burnout syndrome. Psychology of pain, anxiety, fear and inferiority. Seminar Topics: 3. consultation Types of disability and psychological approach to clients. Dying and death in terms of psychology. Productive and unproductive behavior, health care professional as a client. Principles of professional behavior. Self-study: 1. Psychotherapy in medical work 2. Illness as a difficult life situation 3. Communication with a sick client, communication with a senior 4. Communication within the client's social network 5. Non-productive behavior, productive behavior and its manifestations 6. Special features of access to clients in individual departments

Learning outcomes
The subject is conceived as theoretical - practical. It solve problematice of the clients psychology and their families in health and disease. Knowledge of health psychology will contribute to better understanding of patients / clients of both healthy and ill and to understanding their needs and problems.
After completing the course, the student has knowledge that is important for the professional mastery of demanding situations in the care of individual needs of the sick, disabled and dying, as well as for maintaining the mental balance of an independent care provider. Professional skills: The graduate is able to adequately saturate the client's needs and solve the problems associated with the disease. He / she is able to approach clients in the context of specific diseases.

Student will become credit for at least 80% active participation in the seminar and demonstration of orientation in the issue in writen form. Oral exam.
