Course content
1st consultation: Pedagogy as a science. Historical development of pedagogy. Educational theories and models. Sociocultural aspects of education. Assessment in the educational process. 2nd consultation: Planning the educational process. Objectives of the educational process. Sociocultural aspects of education. Didactic methods and aids. 3. Consultations: Presentation of educational programs.

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical and practical and is focused on gaining basic knowledge of pedagogy and didactics. In connection with the nursing process and knowledge from clinical disciplines, students learn to use didactic methods and procedures for educational activities on individuals, families and communities in the care of their own health and disease prevention. Students will learn to use the educational process in accordance with the nursing process. They will learn to compile and apply an educational program based on the found educational history, will evaluate the educational process.
Field knowledge: The student can explain the concepts and relationships between the educational process and the nursing process, explain and define primary, secondary and tertiary education, list the competencies of the nurse in the field of education and explain the role of the nurse - educator, define pedagogical principles and principles of education, define the concepts, goals and function of education, explain the concepts of evaluation of the educational process, alternative educational methods, explain the specifics of education for seniors, children and people with special needs. Field skills: The student is able to plan the educational process for a specific patient, prepare an educational history, search for and determine the educational needs of the patient, can prepare and implement an educational lesson using appropriate educational methods with regard to the patient's condition, evaluate the effectiveness and results of the educational process / perform evaluation, within the framework of primary, secondary and tertiary education to prepare educational materials and methods of education, can keep documentation about the educational process.
