The subject introduces students to the basic facts in various fields of special education. It allows students to fulfill one of the basic prerequisites for their future profession: - caring after physically and mentally disabled. Students study the development of communication and cognitive processes.
Subject Knowledge: Within the frame of theoretical knowledge students can characterize individual fields of special education. They can use scientific terminology related to the issue and they can describe the fundamentals of educational trainings for different types of disabilities; they are aware of the importance of empathetic approach to the clients and their family members. Professional Skills: Within the frame of theoretical knowledge students can characterize individual fields of special education.
