Lecture topics: 1. Introduction to the subject, basic terminology, positioning - classification according to indication and goals, principles of patient handling. 2. Medical rehabilitation, social rehabilitation, pedagogical rehabilitation, work rehabilitation, types of rehabilitation facilities. 3. Care for airway patency, general condition care, TEN prevention. 4. Immobilization syndrome, psychological aspect. 5. Specifics of rehabilitation nursing in the indication area of traumatology. 6. Specifics of rehabilitation nursing in the area of internal medicine, geriatrics. 7. Specifics of rehabilitation nursing in the orthopedics indication area. 8. Specifics of rehabilitation nursing in the indication area of neurology. Exercise topics: (2 hours / week) 1. Introduction and basic movement elements, ergonomics - "Back school". 2. Passive movement. Active movement. 3. Respiratory gymnastics, respiratory physiotherapy. 4. Breathing gymnastics, respiratory physiotherapy. 5. Fitness exercises. Positioning. 6. Re-education of postural functions.

Learning outcomes
|
This subject is a theoretical - practical unit. It is part of the complex of teaching subjects in the field of nursing procedures. Students will learn the principles of basic procedures of rehabilitation within the systemic approach in nursing care. The principle of teaching is the integration of rehabilitation principles into nursing operations with the aim of improving the basic care of the patient.
Expertise: The student demonstrates orientation in basic terminology, understanding the content and goal of rehabilitation, principles of positioning, respiratory physiotherapy, re-education of postural functions and immobilization syndrome including preventive measures. Professional skills: The student is able to realize the positioning and verticalization process according to individual indication areas, basic therapeutic skills within the rehabilitation intervention. He / she is able to cooperate within multidisciplinary nursing team.
