The subject "NURSING CARE IN GYNAECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS is theoretically - practical and introduces the students with the conception of caring after a woman within the whole scale of physiological, risky and pathological states. It is focused on gynaecological and obstetric care being based on the knowledge of other study subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Latin, Health Care, Nursing Procedures?). Nursing process focuses on physiological situations (pregnancy, birth and six-week period) and on pathological states, the process should meet the basic female needs and try to fulfil them.
Subject Knowledge: Student describes female reproduction system; he explains female menstruation cycle; he names basic examination methods used in the field GYN-OBST. Student provides consultations for a woman before an expected gynaecological operation; he evaluates the course of physiological pregnancy, the birth and six -week period. Professional Skills: Student evaluates physical examination of a woman's current state in a gynaecological ambulance; he realizes nursing process for a woman undergoing gynaecological operation; he creates educational plan for a pregnant woman about the changes in life regime; he can advise on breast feeding.
