Lecture topics: (2 hours/week) 1. Anatomy and physiology of the skin, description of skin efflorescences. 2. The basics of treatment of skin diseases. 3. Infectious skin diseases. 4. The most common skin diseases of childhood. 5. Skin tumours. 6. STDS.

Learning outcomes |
The course focuses on the specifics of skin-related and sexually transmitted diseases in children of all ages. It introduces students to the specifics of assessing the needs of children with this group of problems so that they are able to provide quality nursing care in a multidisciplinary team.
Expertise: The student demonstrates knowledge of the fundamentals of nursing care in dermatovenerology from a pediatric nurse's perspective. The student also demonstrates basic knowledge of skin diseases, their diagnosis and therapy. Professional Skills: The student demonstrates proficiency in the technique of applying topical externals, elastic limb bandages. General Competencies: The student is able to practically apply the fundamentals of the care, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients with skin diseases. |
