Course content
1. Organization of the Professional training (PT) by mentoring, meeting with mentors. 2. Setting of individual plan and schedule of consultations with PT guarantor. 3. Explanation of the rules of professional practice, based on the fulfillment of the condition of exercising the profession of nurse may be number hours of professional practice shortened for students / Decree No. 39/2005 Sb., § 3 paragraph 7 / as amended, studies in the General Nursing program (combined study), carry out the general profession nurses. 4. Management of the Professional Practice Record, evaluation of professional practice, explanation of supervision. 5. Specifics of student work in standard inpatient department, introduction to medical documentation, rules for creating nursing plans / examples /. 6. Specifics of student work in ICU and in outpatient operation, introduction to medical documentation, rules for creating nursing plans / examples /.

Learning outcomes
Professional Practice I. is an introduction to the subject. The student is acquainted with the organization of professional practice within the medical facility of inpatient and outpatient care. He / she is acquainted with the principles of mentoring and with the method of evaluation of professional practice by a mentor and an academic. Students are explained the work with the Professional Practice Jotter. Professional Practice I. takes place only in the Medical Faculty of the University of Ostrava, Masaryk Hospital, Ústí nad Labem Professional practice is divided into 50 hours / 1 week /.
Expertise: The student demonstrates knowledge of nursing procedures and the theory of nursing, which can be applied in practice through nursing plans and nursing interventions. Professional skills: The student is able to implement nursing care by the nursing process method, is able to work with medical documentation and is a valid member of the medical team.
