Course content
Lecture Topics: (2 hours / week) 1. Internal disorders. 2. Immune disorders. 3. Allergic diseases. 4. Diseases of nervous and muscular system. 5. The most common disorders of sight, hearing and speech. 6. Sudden conditions in paediatrics. Resuscitation of newborn and older child. 7. Social paediatrics. Exercise topics: (2 hours / week) 1. The nursing process of a child with an internal environment disorder. 2. Nursing process in a child with epilepsy. 3. Nursing process in children with neuroinfections. 4. Nursing process in children with skin disease. 5. Nursing process in children with immune system disorders. 6. Nursing process in children with allergic diseases. 7. Nursing process in children with visual impairment. Nursing process in children with hearing impairment.

Learning outcomes
The subject is designed as theoretical - practical. It is part of a complex of nursing subjects for mother and child care. It gives an overview of the peculiarities of nursing care and individual needs of children in different age groups with emphasis on the neonatal and infant period. Students will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for the overall nursing care of the child, including intensive care.
Expertise: The student is able to distinguish and enumerate individual developmental periods of a child's year, can explain the anatomical and physiological peculiarities of a child's organism, can describe in greater detail the differences in the diet of children in different developmental stages principles and complications related to individual procedures and procedures applied in practice. Professional skills: The student is able to evaluate the overall condition of the child with respect to his / her age, select and work with appropriate scaling techniques and methodology for the child with respect to his / her age, carry out the nursing process in its individual phases .
