Learning outcomes
The course covers all the essential components of language learning: oral and written expression, text comprehension, pronunciation and reading practice, vocabulary within the topics listed.
Expertise: Learners will acquire approximately 70 words and phrases within the topics listed. The learner can explain aspects of their job, describe nursing as a field, explain the nursing workflow and qualification requirements, describe organs and their functions, talk about diseases, basics of treatment and prevention, create questions about a patient's condition, answer typical patient questions. Professional Skills: The student can conduct simple conversations within the topics listed, can select appropriate speech combinations when talking to a patient, can counsel a patient, reproduce text, compose a short report, and write on an admission/discharge/medical condition/treatment/examination form. General competencies: The student is able to communicate their own professional opinions in English to professionals and the general public in a clear and convincing manner.
