The mathematical excursion is organized as a one-day excursion to the Erlebnisland Mathematik Dresden, which is a permanent exhibition in the Technische Sammlungen in Dresden. The students take a guided tour of the exhibition for about three hours with an introductory commentary. During the tour, they are divided into small groups and choose one exhibit to examine in detail. This preparation will enable them to compose a short seminar paper describing the exhibit and suggesting how it could be used to demonstrate a concept, knowledge or idea for a situation where Czech primary or secondary school pupils will view the exhibit.
