Learning outcomes
|
The course is designed as a basic introduction to computer wired and wireless networks. Attention will be paid to the development of computer networks with an emphasis on fundamental concepts and an overview of the various types of networks. The subject will describe the basic infrastructure networks and access methods used by the media. In this course we will discuss models of computer networks and the general fundamentals of network communication in routing, route selection methods and protocols. The course will also present selected classical network technologies in both wired and wireless networks.

Assessment methods and criteria

The complex exam will consist of a written test and an exam, while failure in one part represents a failure of the entire komplex exam. Written test min. 75% success rate. Exam: Student selects two questions that students will have min. 15 minutes individual preparation. If the next question will be thematically fit into the same area, a new question will be selected. Responses will be evaluated from A 1-3 final mark of the exam, then their overall evaluation. If the student does not answer any question at all, the test will be considered a failure.
