The aim of the course is to teach students the video game design methodology, which is called playcentric game design. Following this methodology, students design and implement simple video game demos.

For successful course completion, participants must submit at least one of the following: 1. A playable demo of a developed video game showcasing core gameplay mechanics and design. 2. A thoroughly developed video game concept including design documentation detailing the game world, characters, and mechanics. 3. An advanced research project in the field of game studies focusing on a specific topic with comprehensive analysis and discussion. Projects can be undertaken individually or as a team, with team projects to be reported to the instructor in advance for approval. |
