Course content
1. The concept of harmony 2. Chords created on the basic tones of the scales (major and minor) 3. Harmonic functions, rules and guidance unison duet in harmony. 4. four voices adjustment chords position, stretch chords 5. Chords, treatment and connection 6. Connection of the basic chords 7. Learning outcomes
Students will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of basic harmonic principles which are subject of this course. Course also includes analysis of harmonic elements.
Students get acquinted with harmonical structure of composition and with harmony as one of the main means of expression of music. Students get to know the basics of chords-linking and harmonization of melody with its didactic usage.
Prerequisites
Reliable knowledge of music theory.

Assessment methods and criteria

Mastering written harmony examples. The condition for granting credit is a successful writing of a test. Attendance at least 70%.
