Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce the students with the works of the important world and Czech architects, their theories and historical significance in the 19th and 20th centuries. The aim will be to bring the context of the period closer, whose reflection, especially in architecture, was reflected in the period under review.
Upon completion of the course, the student will gain insight into 19th and 20th century architecture. They will be oriented, or at least familiar, with the most important styles of the period under discussion. The student will be able to present essential information in English.
Prerequisites
Passive knowledge of English is assumed. A general overview of architectural and art history from antiquity to the Baroque is welcome.
