Course content
|
The development of codicological studies in Europe and in our country, the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts and the work of the Commission for inventory and study of manuscripts in the past and present, making library inventories and catalogs in the past and present, history of our oldest library units, costs of acquiring books in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Times, book illuminations as an accompaniment of the text and one of the elements for the dating of ancient manuscripts, presentantion of the oldest manuscripts of different types (theological, hagiografic, homiletic, liturgical, educational, entertainment, chivalric novel ad.) and of domestic and foreign origin in our libraries, the history of printing in our territory, most important printers, production of the printers belonging to the Unity of Brethren and their social significance.
