Course content
1- Introduction into the study of Auxiliary Historical Sciences, explanation of the term, outline of the content of the discipline, references about literature 2 - Diplomatics, history of the discipline, basic types of written documents of diplomatic character, paper 3 - Diplomatics, survey of offices in particular historical periods, diplomatics in the period of Modern Times 4 - Paleography, development of the discipline, materials for writing, definition of medieval and modern periods in the development of a script, script in the period of Middle Ages 5 - Paleography, script in the period of Modern Times, school script, victory of humanistic script, examples 6 - Chronology, development of the discipline, survey of the time-telling, how to transform older ways of time-telling to present days ones, reforms of calendar 7 - Sfragistics, development of the discipline, everything related to seals, function, material, size, examples 8 - Heraldry, definition of the disipline, function of a blazon, social role of the blazon in development, description of the blazon, specifics of municipal, aristocratic and state heraldry, coat of arms x blazon 9 - Development of the state blazon from the duke period up to present days 10 - Genealogy, development and literature concerning the discipline, register and other resources of genealogy 11 - Epigraphy, development of the discipline, examples of epigraphic historical documents in our territory, inscription writing 12 - Numismatics, development of the discipline, survey of currencies 13 - Metrology, development of units of measurement 14 - Codicology, survey of codexes in our libraries

Learning outcomes
With help of all available resources ( including verified internet ones) the course which is a follow-up of the course of ASH I aims to inform students about development of other auxiliary sciences of history, the sciences, which study other resources not only strictly those of official character in European context. These are mainly codicology, epigraphy, genealogy, heraldry, emblematics, vexilology, faleristics and historical metrology, their methods of research and present state of research with emphasis on applicability of these disciplines in today sciential society.
Student should have the basic knowledge of methodological and methodical problems of all so called auxiliary sciences.W e emphasise that students obtain information about rules and possible application of methods of these disciplines with regard to newly forming resources and needs of today society.
