Learning outcomes
|
The subject develops didactic and methodical knowledge, skills and attitudes that are needed during school teaching of 20th century history. In the seminar, emphasis is placed on analytical work with selected thematic areas of 20th century history teaching. These are mainly chapters: World War 1, World War 2, Czechoslovakia and the world in the years 1968-1989 and the development of Czech society in the European context after 1990.
Graduates of the course will gain knowledge of current approaches to teaching history of the 20th century in primary and secondary schools. Graduates of the course will become familiar with the current approaches of the field didactics of history to teaching the history of the 20th century. The subject develops the skill to work analytically with school historical sources. The subject leads to a multi-perspective approach in teaching the history of the 20th century. The subject deepens the skills to critically evaluate presented historical information in various media sources.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written verification of study results - didactic analysis of the thematic learning unit. Other requirements: - submission of an essay on a historical phenomenon from the history of the 20th century - submission of a review of a media product with a historical theme and evaluation of this media product from the point of view of possibilities in the teaching of history - analysis of a selected school historical source for teaching the history of the 20th century - realization of a teaching figure for teaching the history of the 20th century
