Course content
The topics of the field trips change in each semester. Primarily, attention is focused on destinations in the area of northern and western Bohemia, or Prague. The field trips take the form of a visit and a guided tour of a group of selected monuments and places, forming a whole with a certain thematic connection. For example: architecture of the mining towns of the Ore Mountains, the work of J. B. Mathey in NW Bohemia, Baroque monuments in the vicinity of Plasy, pilgrimage sites in northwestern Bohemia, Škrétaesque paintings in the Litoměřice region, Baroque churches in Prague.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen theoretical knowledge from lectures on the history of architecture and the history of fine arts ranging from Gothic to Boraque on the form of one-day field trips, prepared in cooperation with experts from other expert institutions, organizations and associations (National Heritage Institute, museums, galleries, spiritual administration, associations for heritage protection).
The student will expand their knowledge in the field of history of architecture and history of fine arts, acquire higher competencies for working with tangible sources and improve their overall view in the field of monuments of the region.

There are no prerequisites for the course, nor does it require any additional input knowledge or skill.
