Learning outcomes
On this course, students learn in more detail about Northwest Bohemia and its monuments, as well as its natural attractions and overall tourism potential. In the spirit of this subject, Northwest Bohemia is not only defined by the territory of the present-day Ústí Region, but also includes the adjacent areas of the Karlovy Vary and Liberec Regions. Attention is focused not only on attractive tourist sites but also on previously neglected sites with the potential for future use in the presentation of cultural heritage. Course graduates gain a general overview of the cultural and historical face of the region and competence in the preparation of their own thematic excursion projects.
Graduates have knowledge of the historical development of the Ústí Region and the neighbouring areas of Saxony. They are familiar with the basic geographical division of the area of interest. They have the competence to develop their own thematic programmes and excursions focusing on the cultural heritage of the region, including cross-border activities.
