Course content
The content focus of observational practice is based on the still insufficient theoretical equipment and practical readiness of students in the field of didactics. The aim of the course Observational Practice is to get acquainted with the school environment and school life, ie with school facilities and with the specific needs and peculiarities of individual groups of students in school facilities, including acquaintance with teaching methods and organizational forms of work in school facilities. The recommended content and formal side of the output is the Diary of Observational Practice.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to provide students with real information about the school environment with an emphasis on teaching methods, organizational forms of work in school facilities and work with pupils with special educational needs. The student will perform an internship lasting 13 hours. The prerequisite is that internships are given preferentially at the faculty and cooperating facilities of PF UJEP.
Based on the implementation of pedagogical practice, students will become familiar with the functioning of the educational environment. Students will learn the basics of pedagogical competences. Students will familiarize themselves with selected curriculum documents in the context of a particular school. Students identify the basic methodological principles of teaching, students classify the implementation of teaching into specific organizational forms. Students will establish a pedagogical portfolio as the basis of preparation for the performance of the teaching profession. Students conduct an interview with the accompanying teacher. Students are actively interested in the functioning of the visited school.
Prerequisites
A prerequisite for completing the course is teaching practice primarily at the faculty schools of the FF UJEP. The CODP FF UJEP ensures this observation practice organizationally, methodically and in control.
