Learning outcomes
|
The course is focused on introducing students to methods of digitizing cultural heritage, particularly spatial scanning of movable and immovable historical monuments. Students will familiarize themselves with handheld 3D scanners and their practical applications. They will have the opportunity to acquire spatial data using non-contact methods of laser and optical scanning. Additionally, they will independently process and edit the scanned data using specialized software. Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on a gentle and non-destructive approach to cultural heritage and the application of outputs in historical practice and heritage conservation.
Graduates of the course are familiar with the theory of spatial scanning with a focus on heritage conservation. They are capable of working independently with 3D scanners and can process the scanned data.

Prerequisites

Experience with working on a computer. Ability to work independently and systematically. Basic knowledge of computer-related English.
