Students will be introduced to the role of the ghetto Theresienstadt in the context of the history of the Shoah. Students will be able to use diverse sources of eyewitness memories. Students will be introduced to the advantages and limits of personal recollection. Students will analyze and compare selected testimonies on different levels.
Students are familiar with the history and historical context of the existence of the Terezín ghetto. They are able to understand the main problems and influences in its development and direction. They know the basic professional literature on the period under study. They demonstrate the ability to critically interpret preserved testimonies. They are able to present the acquired knowledge through a text and discuss it. |
