The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the most common manifestations of ethical violations in scientific research in the humanities, especially publication ethics. The aim is to increase students' sensitivity to violations of publication ethics rules, thereby contributing to the cultivation of a publication environment within the study program. In the first phase of the course, attention will be focused on the reasons that lead researchers to violate publication ethics (emphasis is placed on the connection with the currently valid system of financing and evaluation of science and research). In the second phase of the course, the most common manifestations of publication misconduct are analyzed.
Students are able to discuss current issues related to the creation of professional texts and demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate them. They are able to reflect on and identify violations of publication ethics. They are able to argue and defend their opinions.
