Learning outcomes
The course is conceived as a three-day educational workshop, headed by the employees of the Department of History and outside co-operators. It consists of theoretical training in the form of a mini-cycle of lectures and of practical part when students adopt and broaden their specialized knowledge and skills from the fields of documenting historical monuments, care of historical monuments, cultural history, construction history and art history. The offer of the courses is variable and is usually linked with the projects and subjects currently solved at the Department of History in order to increase the possibility of incorporating selected students to the sphere of primary research. The course consists of three semesters, while the education is always carried out once in the framework in the winter and once in the framework of summer semester in every academic year. The subjects of the courses are historical, art-historical and documentation rules and rules focusing on the area of care of historical monuments.
With concern to the variability of the individual subjects of the courses, it is impossible to unambiguously specify the final skills of the graduates. It is, however, possible to generally state that the graduates are capable of applying the acquired knowledge and practical skills in the framework of their future professional focus both in practice and in the sphere of independent theoretical research. They are also capable of participating in concrete research projects of the Department of History as auxiliary student co-operators.
Prerequisites
1. Graduating from the subject is not conditioned by mastering any other discipline. 2. No specific knowledge and skills are required for graduating from the course.
