Course content
Topics of classes: 1. Introduction, topics of master's theses, positive and negative examples. 2. Specifics of master's thesis aka We don't write for Wikipedia only. Comparison of common internet sources. 3. Mind map. Thesis concept defence. 4. How to work with the database of diploma theses - www.theses.cz. Pros and cons of works of similar topics. 5. Objectives, their settling, construction, concrete formulation and fulfilment. 6. Methodology, inspiration and setting of research aim. 7. Finishing the work schedule. 8. Problematic of sources of work - literature, sources, internet sources. 9. Quotation norm. Practical skills exercises. 10. Formulation skills. 11. Argumentation skills. 12. Prevention of typical drawbacks of theses. 13. Evaluation and auto-evaluation tools.

Learning outcomes

The student will strengthen his abilities to present and defend his concept and methodology of his elaboration of the assigned topic, he will be able to show the outcomes of his work and defend them in discussion, he will be prepared for the defence of his diploma thesis.
