Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to synoptically introduce students to the development of history of fine arts from the first artistics expressions of humanity to the Romanesque period. Emphasis is laid on the individual cultural horizons and, as far as the later periods are concerned, on individual stylistic trends. The course is an inseparable part of the system of lecturing history of fine arts on the bachelors study level, which - in this the case of the field - closes with final state examination.
The graduate demonstrates knowledge of the development of artistic creation from the Paleolithic to the Romanesque period. The student is able to identify and date important works of art and historical buildings, and is oriented in the issues of cultural horizons and stylistic development. The student has an overview of the basic titles of domestic and foreign literature.
Prerequisites
1. Prior mastery of another discipline is not absolutely necessary to pass the course. 2. It is an advantage for the student to be able to work with foreign language literature (Nj, Aj). Students are also expected to have a historical perspective at least in the context of the high school history curriculum.
