Course content
The blended learning course covers the following topics: 1. Choosing a suitable topic for a bachelor's thesis 2. Methods of historical research 3. Working with sources 4. Information sources and working with them (specialized literature, dictionaries, encyclopedias, syntheses, monographs, anthologies, specialized periodicals, electronic information sources) 5. Principles of scientific work, citation principles, bibliographic records 6. Formal editing of text, proofreading, editorial work

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to select a suitable topic for a bachelor's thesis and prepare the necessary documentation for submitting the thesis to the STAG system. Potential topics proposed by students will be discussed with the instructor with regard to the complexity of the work, the source base, the current state of research, and the necessary knowledge and skills. The teacher may recommend suitable thesis supervisors, with whom students will then prepare specific materials for submission. The course also serves as a platform for discussion of the basic principles of professional historical work: working with sources and literature, methods of historical work, etc. Students will also be familiarized with the principles of thesis preparation and its formal requirements.
Students will become familiar with the basic principles of historical work and will be able to think critically about choosing a suitable topic for their thesis.
