Learning outcomes |
The course aims to present history and impact of political propaganda in Central Europe. The main focus will be political caricature, comics or satire, including a number of real-life examples.
The main goal of the course is to mediate the complex view on Czech, Slovak and German political caricature in European context. Students will gain practical experience (necessary for correct "reading of historical caricatures") during the work with period daily press. The graduates will obtain the knowledge of older and newer literature referring to the topic of political caricatures in the Czech lands as well as in Europe. |
