Main issues of the Modern Times script study; Terminology of Modern Times scripts; Czech Neo-Gothic script; Development of German Neo-Gothic script; School script in the Czech lands; Teaching of scripts in Germany until the year 1941; Printing scripts; Bases of Codicology

Learning outcomes
After completing the course students should be familiar with development of Latin paleography from the beginnning of Modern Times up to present days, they should be able to read and interprete texts written in Neo-Gothic German italics.Through modern projection technology students are presented digital archive materials which are stored in the North-Bohemian archives.
Student gets the overview of development of the script in the period of Modern Times, he/she should be competent to read documents written in German Neo-Gothic italics.

Good command of German language
