The seminars include presentations of participants' own professional outputs (papers, posters, articles) and exchanges of experiences from study internships, trips, conferences, etc. The seminar program is prepared by the course guarantors in consultation with the supervisors. Supervisors are required to attend seminars at which their students give presentations.

The condition for passing the exam is active participation in seminars and continuous completion of assigned tasks. Its fundamental condition is the presentation of the preparation of the dissertation at least once a year, as well as the presentation of the preparation of pilot studies being prepared for publication. As part of Doctoral Seminar I, the condition for passing the exam is the submission and defense of a dissertation concept and outline, including comments on the source base of the research. In the case of an internship, the student is excused from participation, but is not exempt from the obligation to give a presentation. Combined study students fulfill the certification requirement each year by giving a presentation on their dissertation research at the seminar once a year. In the event of serious reasons (care of children or relatives, health problems, permanent work obligations, stay abroad, etc.), the doctoral seminar requirements may be individually adjusted on the basis of a justified request recommended by the supervisor and approved by the departmental council. The seminar is usually held four times per semester, with a minimum attendance requirement of 80%. Students in the combined form of study participate in the seminar at least once per semester. The exam is registered by the course guarantor based on the recommendation and written consent of the supervisor.
