Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide a deeper insight into didactic approaches to learning language skills in teaching German as a foreign language, to reflect on the process of the student´s own learning and then apply theoretical knowledge in the form of microteaching. Emphasis is placed on linking linguodidactic theory with teaching practice in the relevant type of schools, as well as developing skills in the preparation, implementation and subsequent evaluation (reflection) of the teaching unit.
At the end of the course each participant -is well informed about and knows basic didactic categories, - knows basic linguistic and didactic terminology, - is able to see language as a system and to understand its role in the process of foreign language teaching / learning, - has an idea of the organization of teaching in an institutional context, - becomes familiar with the methodological concepts of teaching foreign languages, the aims of teaching and its forms, - gains an overview of basic documents related to foreign language teaching.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars, study of compulsory literature, completion of partial tasks and elaboration of written documentation to simulate the lesson, including their presentation in the seminar, are expected to be awarded for the credit.
