Learning outcomes
|
This seminar will examine the basic theory of translation, and teach how to distinguish the main functional styles. Genuine translations will serve as a starting point for applying the theory. To start with we will work on non-literary texts of various functions and textual styles.
The student " Is familiar with the fundamental problems of translation theory " Knows the basic terminology of translation theory " Can apply the theory while translating various types of text and various functional styles (informational, administrative, publicity, expertise).
