1. Observation protocol - principles for its elaboration. Educational goals 2. Formulation of specific educational goals 3. Preparation for a lesson - principles for a preparation protocol 4. Visiting a German class at elementary school 5. Evaluation of the visited lesson, analysis of the observation protocol 6. Suggestions for other possible didactic procedures of the subject from the visited lesson 7. Visiting a German class at a 8/6-year grammar school 8. Evaluation of the visited lesson, analysis of the observation protocol 9. Suggestions for other possible didactic procedures of the subject from the visited lesson 10. Visiting a German class at a vocational high school 11. -13. Evaluation of the visited lesson at a secondary (high) school with suggestions for further possible didactic procedures of the subject matter

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on a preparation for pedagogical practice, i. e. for clinical and assistant practice. The aim of the course is to equip students with sufficient theoretical foundations in order to be able to successfully implement them in their own pedagogical practice. The general part of the course introduces students to the school system, basics of school legislation, curricular documents, organization and work safety in school facilities. In the subject part, students will learn how to transform the didactic principles to the curriculum for specific schools, how to elaborate the observation protocol and how to prepare for lessons.
The student - will get acquainted with the school system, school legislation, and the curricular documents - will learn how to work out the observation protocol - will learn how to prepare the teaching unit.

To receive credit - Active participation in seminars - Completion of all assignments - elaboration of observation protocols - didactic elaboration of the assigned topic as preparation of a teaching unit at a specific type of school.
