Course content
Related to the topics discussed, individual language skills will be practiced. 1. Lifestyle 2. Culture and art 3. History, stories 4. Feelings and emotions 5. Future, vision According to the needs of students and the subject matter in the textbook, grammatical structures are practiced on an ongoing basis. 6. Main clause, word order, basic sentence elements 7. Subordinate clause, word order, subordinate conjunctions, relative pronouns 8. Subjunctive - irreality, potentiality 9. Subjunctive - indirect speech 10. Nominalization of verbs 11. Adverb clauses (indem, dadurch-dass) 12. Comparison adverb clauses (als, als ob, als wenn in subjunctive II) 13. Verbal phrases, nouns and adjectives 14. Modal particles and their use

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop the overall skills of speaking German, to repeat grammar and increase competences in grammar, to expand vocabulary, improve the oral and written expression, and learn about the culture in German-speaking countries. Required entrance level is min. B1 of CEFRL. It is expected to master the lessons 6-10 of the textbook Aspekte neu B2.
The student - knows the vocabulary and grammar to the extent related to the topics discussed, - understands texts from the field of popular science, a review, positive and negative evaluation of a work of art, - can write a reflection essay/statement, and a structured, informal letter/email - can search for and summarize information from multiple sources and present a paper based on them, argue, polemize, and present their own opinion.

Assessment methods and criteria

To obtain credit - active participation in seminars - fulfillment of tasks continuously assigned by the teacher - timely submission of written assignments (reflection essay, statement - argumentative writing, informal letter/e-mail) - preparation of materials for an oral presentation and the presentation itself - successful completion of the credit test (70% of total points)
