Learning outcomes
The lectures illuminate selected theories and methods of intercultural linguistics. They focus primarily on the question of how intercultural linguistics enriches traditional linguistic research, what new ideas are brought to this subject and what direction it develops. In the seminars, students, on the basis of a critical analysis of expert texts and subsequent discussion on selected aspects of their content, develop their ability to look at linguistic themes from the point of view of intercultural linguistics.
At the end of the course individual students can understand and clarify - the subject and objectives of intercultural linguistics, - the links between language and migration, - the consequences of the language contact, - elected language phenomena in intercultural contexts.
