Learning outcomes
|
The course is designed as a theoretical basis for the follow-up seminar Introduction to Intercultural Literary Studies and other literary science seminars and courses dealing with Czech-German cultural contacts. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic professional texts on which contemporary cultural theoretical concepts are based. These introductory texts and principles will be put into the context of the intercultural concept of German studies, especially the issues concerning linguistic and cultural identity, alterity and interculturality. The discussion will also include work with primary literary texts and thus a reflection on their status in the broader context of cultural studies.
Student - knows basic cultural concepts, - understands the intercultural concept of German, - can work with the terms interculturality, cultural identity and alterity.
