Learning outcomes
This course will survey the literary tendencies and the development of German literature from the fundamental change and innovation after 1945 through to the present day; the course will cover the most important figures of contemporary literature from West Germany, Austria, Switzerland, East Germany (GDR), and last but not least the trends since 1990.
The student - can orient him/herself in the development of literature from 1945 to the present - can describe the development periods, - will know the main figures and works - can independently analyse and interpret a work of literature within its historical, cultural and literary context
